I started the one-question interview series as a way to meet new bloggers and take advantage of the knowledge all of the bloggers out there have. Each week I ask a new group of bloggers one question and then share their answers in a post. You can see the other posts from the series here. I have had so much fun with this series getting to know new people and have learned so much from them!
Today I’m continuing the college them for July with asking bloggers what items they think are a must for any college student. I think this is super helpful for incoming freshman since you never are truly sure what you might need. It’s also helpful for current students though too because some of the items they suggest can make your life a lot easier (like Katelyn’s suggestion to have the mindset of an adventurer). One of my must have items is a large leather tote bag that I can carry all my stuff in throughout the day. I started off using a backpack, but quickly learned that if I wanted to wear cute dresses a backpack wasn’t going to work out because apparently they cause your skirt to ride up (learning this came from a few too many embarrassing moments). A tote is perfect though because you get to wear your cute dresses and it’s amazing how much they can fit. Another thing that I love having is my vera bradley id holder and lanyard. Now, I don’t recommend wearing it around your neck because you will be labeled as a freshman that way, but if you keep it in your bag it makes it so the important things don’t get lost since it’s a good size. I keep my keys on it and then put my student id, credit card, laundry card, a little bit of cash, and a few other cards I frequently use all inside it. It works out really well because I can’t leave my room without my keys which this way also means I can’t leave without my Id and a way to make a purchase. Now that you’ve heard my suggestions, here are what some of my fellow bloggers recommend.
